Ocular Rosacea as an Inflammation of the Eyes
Ocular rosacea as an inflammation of the eyes often associated with the facial skin condition rosacea. Ocular or rosacea of the eyes can cause a sandy feeling in the eyes causing the appearance of eye redness. It may also appear as bloodshot eyes, red swollen eyelids, or loss of eye lashes. With the most common symptoms of ocular rosacea being chronically inflamed margins of the eyelids with scales and crusts, quite similar to seborrheic dermatitis, with which ocular rosacea is often confused.
